Andria as Name
Andria Esplana is the family’s miracle baby. She was the first born of Adelmar and Bing in 2005. American doctors advised the couple that a 50-percent probability Down’s syndrome for the baby she carries in her womb is possible. To discontinue

her pregnancy will be the most appropriate decision to make, the doctor said. The couple did not follow the doctor’s advise but instead, Bing continued her pregnancy. With the support of their family and friends in prayer and the faith of the couple in God, Bing brought Andria to the world after nine months, a normal and healthy baby girl.
The restaurant’s name was coined from the name of “Andria,” with the name “Taste” to represent “food.” With this name, the family also recognized the miracle that God has done for Andria and the faithfulness of God in the whole Esplana clan.
In May 30, 2006, the restaurant was opened. Its first month was full of memories. Some foreign nationals (as the place is located in the historic Intramuros Walls and the Bureau of Immigration), and Filipinos have tried to visit the newly established restaurant. New customers found that it is worth visiting and enjoyable for a new dining experience in a contemporary ambiance. It also serves as an alternative gimmick place for students, professionals, government employees and business people.
